36 WEEKS

FINAL COUNTDOWN

As you can see peanuts shell is definitly getting bigger! We are right on track! Last week we started out weekly apointments with the DR!

Peanut shell is measuring 37 weeks, and peanut is spending its time upside down.. which is what we want! The DR said we should make it close to our due date, but that it could also happen anyday! (update heart rate 166, total wait gain 24lbs)

Brian has been very busy making sure everything is ready for the arrival of peanut!

Down The Home Stretch

As I logged onto the blog, I noticed it was entirely reflective of Rachael's work. Much like at home, she's been preparing for our child in many ways. I'm am terming the blogwork cyber-nesting. In any event, I realized that I've contributed very little to the cyber-nesting effort. So here are some musings.....

An Observant Husband….

I think my wife has been drinking too much. I hate to admit it, but there have been signs surfacing over the last 9 months. She’s been overly emotional, and forgetful. She also pees constantly. I haven’t been able to find a hidden stash of vodka, or anything, but there are a number of strange-looking, empty bottles showing up around the house. However, none of them smell like liquor, and I can’t figure out what the nipples are for. I think I need to be looking for beer cans. That would more easily explain the frat boy belches, and reoccurring hiccups. There’s also the rapidly expanding beer belly. But what is she doing with all of the empty cans? It appears I will have to pay closer attention to get to the bottom of this.

Parenthood, or Puberty?

As we loom over the commencement of our next phase of life, I've noticed a number of changes in my body. The bursts of energy and taste for domestic work, be it a nursery remodel, or a landscaping project, or nothing short of amazing. Based on the newly acquired complexion issue, I've decided the energy must be rooted in hormone fluctuations. I hope they are not the same hormones that cause fathers to lose their hair. If they are, I guess I can blame the child, like all other folliclely challenged fathers. Strange pains, hormone fluctuation, and a steady anxiety over the impending stage of life….this seems like a familiar territory.

20 weeks (alittle late)

The day after we returned from our Babymoon, we had our 20 week ultrasound!

Baby "Peanut"
We did not find out if we are having a boy or a girl, we decided that we wanted it to be a surprise, but "peanut " also decided he/she did not want us to know either.

Legs tightly crossed
Everything looks great "Peanut" is growing in the 98% bracket, they have talked about moving our due date up to the 25th of August.

( As of this Apt we are 20 weeks 3 day, weight gain 6 1/2 pounds for a total of 10 pounds, heart beat 157)
